Raised on the Banks of the “Rivertown” of St George , in Western Queensland Jason grew up listening to the likes of Jim Croce, John Prine, Buddy Miller, Merle Haggard, Townes Van Zant, Neil Young, James Taylor, Cat Stevens and his very own talented family.

An accomplished classical pianist by the age of 11 being offered a placement in the “Conservatorium of Music” and a self taught guitarist, Jason started writing songs at the age of thirteen (and to date boasts a catalogue of over 3000 songs).

He started touring at sixteen in originals outfit “Midnight Curfew” and at the same age started attending the prestigious “Tamworth Country music Festival”. By eighteen Managed “Full Steam Ahead Studios ” in Albion, Brisbane, producing and engineering tracks for up and coming and established acts.

Jason also toured as the keyboard player/vocalist in “Coopers Brew” with Alan Cooper up and down the east coast Of Australia for five years but a hunger for songwriting saw him step into the Country music Talent Quest Circuit back in 1993 becoming a finalist at the “Queensland Champion Of Champions” and winning various awards for Male Vocal and Songwriting over the next five years

Releasing his debut album in 2004 “This Dance” produced by accomplished friend and visionary “Michael Flanders” achieved him international recognition gaining six top fives and three number ones , nominations in the TIARA , MusicOz Awards , finalist in the ISC and appearances on “little Bit Of Country” and “NuCountry” .

Fifteen radio singles and four music videos released (to date) gaining rotation on CMC, Rage, Video Hits, Nu Country, Little Bit Of Country and Cruisin The Country .

He hit the road again back in 2004 for a solid three years, travelling and playing festivals, ute musters, tractor pulls , B&S’s , rodeos, Fairs, Fetes and trailer parks, truckstops , Hard Rock Cafe’s and every bar, club and hole in the wall he could perform !

Jason is currently signed to Nashville based Publishing PIM headed up by Michael Flanders and regularly frequents the fabled halls of Music Row.

Jason has spent five years putting together the project for his new, currently untitled album which will be released mid 2010 , already winning the TIARA Australian Independent Songwriter of the year 2009 award in 2009.
